Please direct questions about Fulton County Watering Restrictions to Jennifer McLauren, Fulton County Water Services, 404-612-8745, Jennifer.McLaurin@FultonCounty.gov Roswell East Update (aka Charlie Brown's Project): 8-31-07: The Roswell Council has decided not to spend any more Roswell tax dollars evaluating this proposed, high density, high-rise mixed-use, and very controversial development until a formal project request is submitted by the developer to the city.  Current Roswell zoning does not permit a development with the density currently proposed by the developer.  In order for this project to move forward, the Roswell City Council would need to establish a zoning category for higher density development in Roswell.

East Village / Super Target 1-14-09: The diagram above shows the plans for Phase 1.  Phase 2 is the slightly greyed area on the right. Phase 3, which will be residential, will be on the left with no conceptual plans shown.   The  residential area is approved for 50 town-homes at 2400 sf each.  Phase 1 & 2 opened in October 2008.  Tenants include Super Target, Panda Express, and Einstein's Bagels. Delivery times for all buildings will be 7 AM to 10 PM. Background: Fulton County approved this property for development prior to the property being annexed into Roswell. The  zoning included approval for a big box retailer (e.g. Target, Walmart, Lowes).  Because the developer already had approval from North Fulton for development plans which were not desirable to Roswell, Roswell's City Council granted numerous conditions and variances to entice the Developer into abandoning their original  plans.  The architects and developers working on this project also created the "Perimeter Place" mixed-use development immediately north of Perimeter Mall.

Centennial Walk Update: 1-13-09  Developer has submitted detailed project plans for phase I development.  This is the first step in getting approval to begin construction. The new web site is: www.centennialwalkroswell.com Background: Centennial Walk is a planned mixed-use development along Holcomb Bridge Road between Centennial Kroger, Centennial High School, and the hill-top Walton community. The Griffin Company had planned develop a high-density town-home community with commercial buildings along Holcomb Bridge Road. Many East Roswell Community Associations went on record as opposing the development due to concerns about: increased traffic, high-density, lack of green-space, and vague details in the re-zoning request.  Councilman David Tolleson, created an advisory group, composed of neighborhood leaders. This advisory group worked successfully with the Griffin Company on a new, site-specific, set of plans for this property. The Revised Plan calls for three residential buildings in the center of the property with single level homes on each floor and underground parking. The plan also includes a mixed-use (residential, office, and commercial area) surrounded by a significant amount of green space, and as a sign of support for our local Centennial High School, the plan provides parking areas for the Booster Club to use for revenue generation. Joel Griffin, the President of the Griffin Company, declared the new plans, "significantly better and more exciting" than the original plan. Local community leaders have also embraced the plan.
